Kent State University FNP program

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hi.

I am finishing my BSN through Kaplan University (should be done in first half of this year) and planning to apply for family NP program. I do not want to do 100% online FNP program, as I like in-class learning. I did some research and leading toward KSU for my FNP. Currently I have 3.5 years of rehab unit and home visiting for outpatient psychiatric clinic experience. My GPA is 3.54.

My ultimate goal is to become MHNP, but I would like to start as a FNP.

Anybody here are in this program already? Any suggestions for future student? I work night shift and my day time visiting job is part time, so I can adjust my hours there.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you,

Alex

I've been accepted into the acute care np program. I like that I can go part time (3yr) and still work full time.

Not it sure about mental health, but acute care required at least 2 years Icu or ER experience to be considered for admission.

Honestly, just send them an email. They are nice and pretty prompt on returning emails.

EmergencyRN 22 - Are you doing the online program? I have been accepted to the online FNP program and would like to hear from anyone with experience with the programs.

Thanks!!
