well, i finally finished nursing school @ 31 years old, started a little later than others, but wouldn't change a thing, god had a different plan for me. may 12, 2005, happy as can be,and i was over joyed when i passed my state boards on the first try. first job at one of the hospitals i've always wanted to work at, to gain experience. reported to work as part of the activation team sunday morning, expecting to return in a couple of days. well needless to say we did not get out of university hospital until that friday afternoon. ended up in san antonio, texas. seperated from my seven yes, seven kids. my big sister ask us to come go atlanta, so we did, and we hate it. now we're on our way back to san antonio. i'm use to life challenges, but i feel so lost sometimes. i moved into a house a year ago that i loved, and i enjoyed my job. both are gone. everyone says "oh, you can get a job anywhere!", i know things will work out sooner or later?????

Hey mz,

I don't know if you're from N.O., but I assume you are b/c of your reference to University Hospital. I cannot imagine how hard things are for you right now. I am still here, extremely lucky that my hospital and home are both standing strong. I think the reality of the whole situation is just coming into realization for many people. I see lots of tears every day, including my own. Everyone is homesick and the holiday's only hammer in the reality of what's been lost. Please hang in there and know you are not alone. New Orleans wants you back and we cannot wait until all of our people come home, the city has no soul without you.

you have not really dealt with the reality of the tremedous changes which have gone on in your life

having seven children look up to you for any stablility has made you put a lot of this on the back burner...you still need to be strong for them but you need counseling or group therapy somewhere you can vent

the stress of graduating, state board, the storm ,the separation of family,

and trying to get started again is just too much for any one person to handle alone...

best wishes check in here anytime or pm me is i can help
