Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone can help me on this but it's worth a try...I decided today not to take Kaplan's review course and to do self-study instead...I'm currently buying books to be used for my self-review...
My question is, is there a difference between Kaplan's Coursebook that is given for free when you enrol VS. Kaplan's Nclex-RN strategies for registered nursing licensing exam that is sold in bookstores? My uncle is coming home from the States next month, I kinda need to order all the books I need already so he can bring it with him...
One Kaplan reviewee who recently passed the Nclex-rn exam sold me her Kaplan Coursebook and other materials given to her for free by the review center, I went ahead and bought it. If the content on the Coursebook is the same as Kaplan's NCLEX-RN strategies then I wouldn't buy the strategies book anymore, if not then I have to buy Kaplan's strategies book too 'coz I read on the forums that it closely resembles the actual NCLEX exam.
By any chance, is there anybody out there who actually has both and can personally compare its contents???
... PLEASE HELP!!! I haven't even started reviewing yet and I'm already scared to death huhuhu!!!

Kaplan is not enough, I read strategies book and I did Q-bank for extra qs. but review course of Helen Feuer was really helpful and complete. Kaplan course review doesn't have infection control as I heard from people who took both kaplan and feuer! and that's why I did feuer for lectures and kaplan for qs.
wish you luck, don't scared, just belief on yourself and study hard.

Thanks BEEJEE! I'm actually planning to try Kaplan's Online Review Course..the Q-bank is already included on their online review as far as I know that's why right now I'm just confused whether I would buy the strategies book 'coz I already have the coursebook..and yup I already have Helen Feuer's audio lecture.. thanks for the tips and for the words of encouragement! :)

Don't focus on one book. Get as much information as you can get on all books that you can get hold of 'coz you'll never know where they get the next NCLEX questions. I have read the kaplan strategies....It is really on strategies.

Hi! Kaplan Strategies book that you can see on bookstores are focused on strategies on choosing the right answer the kaplan way. While the Kaplan Course Book is for the content. In which you can get when you avail their course. :nuke: For me the content book is not that complete. But the Pharmacology part there is good. Kaplan didn't work for me. Failed once.

Several months old is this thread and op hasn't been back since then
Thank you so much for all your suggestions. I have all the books and mp3's everybody suggested, from the newest edition of saunders, to kaplan, to lacharity, etc. etc. I had so many resources I didn't have enough time to read even 30% of all the books I had.
Fortunately, I passed the exam on my first take last September WHEW!!
Thanks again for all your help. I really really appreciate it. :)
