Kaplan Q trainer 7 and boards

I'm taking my boards this monday, and this is the 4th im ive taken it. I'm not happy that this is where I am, but I AM happy that this is where I am. weird...

First three times Ive taken the exam, I did questions but not really read any of the review books (kaplan, saunders, Lippincott). My percentage was really high at all, I was averaging 50's. 1st time i took it, ended at 75. 2nd time, went to 265. 3rd time, 89. All three times I failed I realized what I needed, to actually read and review and be able to regurgitate the topics I've read. I was suffering from knowledge deficit.

I got to working reading the kaplan, regurgitate, saunders, regurgitate, lippincott, regurgitate. When I do questions, I'm not just like a wounded gazelle in the forest, I'm actually able to read and use strategies learned to answer the questions. not only that, I actually know more meds than I did before, and even my percentage shot up to the 60/65/70% range. Acronyms and mnemonics ive learned for diseases and disorders are swimming in my head, and I need to know if this is finally it? Can I finally pass? I finished the last Kaplan Q trainer 7 at a 64%. Is it enough? And for the first time tomorrow, I'm finally going to do what I've never done in the pass 3 times, not study or think of nursing at all the day before the exam. i'm gonna be with my girlfriend, make lemonade, wash the car, run, maybe go to the park and relax. Is it enough? can I pass?

Is everything I've done too much, or can I do more?

Good luck a positive attitude is the right attitude :yeah:

i take my nclex tuesday and Im taking trainer 7 today I did 6 yesterday and got 60 and started to kinda freak thinking Im gonna really blow it tuesday. I have been really reading all of the rationales and picking up info from that and seeing my scores increase with each test. hopefully we both pass! good luck! I wonder how many other people scored in the 60 range and passed?

those are the average scores Ive seen of people who pass.

Remember, the test is designed so that you only get 50% correct

what do you mean 50% correct the NCLEX or the question trainers?

I mean the nclex itself is designed so that most people only have a 50% chance and answering the questions correct.

so i just took my QT 7 and got a 55% and I am ready to freak out even more I test tuesday and I feel like I wanna puke. My QT 6 was a 60 and this was a 55 it seems all the delegation ones I get all right its the ones that ask about side effects of if a person is gettin xx med and they say xx how do u know teaching is effective. What are the chances of a 60 and 55% passing???:eek:
