Is the Diagnostic test much easier than the readiness or are they pretty similar in level of difficulty ?? Also, how close to NCLEX should you do the readiness?? I"m 10 days out but I still have to do QT6&7!!

If I remember correctly the diagnostic test is a general test to determine if you have a decent grasp on the content necessary for the Kaplan program. We had to do it before we sat for the live-anywhere Kaplan review. If the scores were bad then it was suggested we cover content a little better. The readiness exam was taken after the Kaplan review and it gave us an idea where we sat as far as the NCLEX was concerned.
The question trainers 6 and 7 were good representations of the NCLEX. I thought they were a little harder than the NCLEX, at least in the beginning. They are long so that made them much harder. Try them and see how you feel about it them.

I did not take 6 and 7. My diagnostic was 66 and readiness was 61-64, somewhere between there. I was avg 65 on qbank. I did not go over content I just did questions. I passed :) with 75 questions. I personally thought NCLEX wasn't to bad :) maybe challenging but not as hard as Kaplan. You will do fine just try not to stress out! Take a deep breath and answer after you are sure what the question is asking :) good luck!!!!!!!

The types of questions seen on the diagnostic vs readiness exam are different. I believe the readiness was all above passing level while the diagnostic had 2 levels of questions below passing level. You are advised to do readiness after your class but before the last qtrainers. The big thing my instructor said is the people that typically fail did not complete at least 75% or 85% (I can't remember which) of their q-bank. Food for thought.
