The only thing you can really do is look at the breakdown of where your weak areas are, and study those more frequently. Have you taken the Kaplan class? I know for some the class made the test a little easier because it taught you how to "take" the test. Basically what the test was looking for from your knowledge base.
The way I approached the test was to look at each question and think "ok so how would I explain my rationale for my decision to my patient?"
Best of luck,

We just went thru this, My wife took NCLEX last month. She is foreign trained from Philippines.
She kept getting 50% on Kaplan q bank, she was very nervous going into the test.
She smoked the test in 75 question, took her about 2 hours.
Study, get a positive outlook, and get ready to take the test.
Good Luck and God Speed...........

Practise questions, keep practising and make sure you understand what they are asking. Read the rationales
thanks everyone! I will do that and hopefully I nail this test.

Keep on practicing questions and don't get too tied up in your scores. Most of my class failed our predictor tests and everyone I heard about passed the test in spite of this. Good luck.

I got to agree with every one who says to practice practice practice taking NCLEX style questions. In school we had a trial to take the Kaplan, HESI and the ATI. The first time I took he Kaplan Diagnostic I scored a 56% so not passing for the NCLEX. Then the HESI I was scoring a 650 also not passing for the NCLEX. Then I took th ATI and said I had a 95% passing for the NCLEX. I was tripping out and thought wow maybe I can do it.
I decided to enroll with Kaplan RN complete course after I graduated nursing school in December 2008 because NCLEX passers told me that the NCLEX is similar to Kaplan plus there was a money back guarantee. I retook the diagnostic and scored a 63%. My Question Trainers range from 46%-62%. My QBank range from 54%-80%. I kept practicing the questions. I took the time to understand my rights and wrongs, reviewing all questions and ratinales. I also used Hogan and Saunders for comp review. I took my NCLEX RN on March 12 and got 75 questions, 10 SATA, 15 medications, no calculation or OB questions. I found out today I passed my NCLEX RN.
You can do it. Don't be discouraged. Just keep at it and stay confident!
