MidAmerica Nazarene ABSN Spring 2018 Cohort

U.S.A. Kansas

Published

Hi there! I have received my acceptance letter for the Spring 18 ABSN Cohort at MNU and was wondering if anyone else has already received their letter and accepted. I was hoping to get to know classmates beforehand so hopefully we can maybe figure out personal schedules for study groups, etc. :)

Can I ask you a couple questions? How long from when they verified your application to when you got in? Would you mind telling me what your GPA is and what your TEAS score is? I messed up when I was younger with my GPA. I have been working so hard to get it back up. My 3 year GPA is a 3.2 and my prereq is a 3.56 and my TEAS was a 75.3%. Trying to see if I am super far off on what I need to get in.

Thanks!

I submitted my application as soon as it was possible, but didn't hear anything until last month when they asked for a progress report on my pre-requisites, and then I got the call yesterday (11/17/17). I had a really good TEAS score, but my GPA was actually lower than yours. I wasn't very focused in college my first time around. From what I have read most TEAS scores are in the mid 70's, so you should be fine there. I think the biggest plus for me was that I am crushing the couple pre-requisited I needed.

I did not see any FB Groups yet, so I created one. Anyone who is interested in joining please message me, or just search MNU ABSN Spring 2018 in groups.

I am currently in the program and my cumulative and prereq GPA is pretty similar to yours. My TEAS was around 81%. I think your chances of getting accepted is very good.

I was going to apply at the end of Dec after my A&P grades posted (my GPA will be better). I hope I'm not making a mistake by waiting too long to apply for the Spring 2018 start date.

If you haven't yet reach out to one of the enrollment coordinators right away and let them know you are interested. They can help you figure out the timing. If you are are just waiting for your current class to complete you can definitely go ahead and apply.

Congratulations on your acceptance to the program and thank you for creating a Facebook group. I will join ASAP.

Congratulations! I haven't created any yet but If you have one already then that is perfect. Will join ASAP.

I got my acceptance phone call today! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Congratulations kelkan!

Congratulations!

Hi! I received my call yesterday, also! Can't wait for March! :-)
