Kaiser NorCal Nurse Residency Fall 2023 Cohort 6

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone! I just wanted to create this for all those interested in the Kaiser Nurse Residency for new grads that has a start date of 9/11/2023. Also thought I would post the timeline below to help with any questions about when the next steps are taking place (per their webinar).

5/31-6/7: Application open

6/8-6/11: Candidate Survey (Snapshot)

6/20-6/30: Group Interviews

7/12: Hiring Decisions

7/17-7/26: HR Offer Days

7/31-9/8: HR Checks

9/11: Program Start

I also only chose Sacramento area.... hoping for Roseville.

The wait is killing me- I cant decide if I want to apply to other jobs while waiting for this

Does anyone know when we are expected to hear back about if we will be interviewing?

im hoping early this week since the interviews start next Thursday.... and they want us to make 10 min presentations- they have to know that stuff takes time

They said they'll let us know by June 16 for interviews. The snapshot survey closed just last night so I'm thinking maybe they'll start sending invites by Wednesday?

Of course we're hoping for the best, but I'd still apply to other jobs. I mean you could always withdraw an application if Kaiser pans out. The way they talked about Roseville in one of the webinars makes me think there are very few spots there.

Thanks for creating the thread.  During the webinar last month they said a 2-hour EKG course would not count (it popped up in the chat).  I ended up doing the AACN course because I didn't know what would count and felt that one was fairly substantial.  Anybody else do that one?

I did that one and I submitted the completion certificate plus the transcript so they knew the hours were longer

Good idea!  I didn't do the transcript but hopefully they're aware of the time commitment it took to complete. Thanks

Hi everyone. New to chat. Regarding ekg course, I took a one hour free course online. I sent the certificate to the program email and they said it was OK.

Was there an option in the snap shot to upload docs? I must have missed that ? I uploaded when I was applying but not for the snap shot.

I don't think there was an option to upload documents on the snapshot I think just on the actual application! I just submitted everything as a PDF file basically a portfolio.. I hope that's fine with them

Has anyone heard back?
