Just took the STNA Skills Test!!! HAVE QUESTIONS IF I PASSED!!!!

Published

I just took my STNA Skills test in OHIO. I Had handwashing, abdominal thrust on a conscious resident, position on left side, and dressing a resident. I missed at least 2 steps BUT NO BOLD PRINTED STEPS. Did I fail? or pass??? ALSO! On the abdominal thrust skill- I told them that I would continue until its successful or lose consciousness BUT I didn't say that I Would lay her in a supine position. DID I FAIL????? I just need some reassurance or some advice so I don't get my hopes up. I am very confident that I passed until I read over these questions that I am asking you!! Thanks for your help! I appreciate it! :nurse:

If you didn't miss any bold steps then you should be good, did you actually put the person back into the supine position when you were done? I would say that when doing skills it is always best for me to talk the skill out, and if you think you made a mistake you can say that you did and correct it. I don't really know what else to say to help you out, because I don't really know what the skills are like in Ohio, because in North Carolina we do not have a abdominal thrust skill, that seems like a CPR thing.

you must physically lay them down, but it wouldn't fail you.
