Just took NCLEXRN/ton of Sata

Just took the Nclex RN today. I was shocked by the number of Sata's I got Some times two in a row. I feel like a third of the test was Sata's. WHAT do you think it means???? Shut off at 75 Questions I either did well or totally flopped. Toward the end when yet another sata would pop up I was thinking "SERIOUSLY?? come on people this is torture". What is your take on this??

My take on it...there's no way of knowing until the results are in.

I thought the SATA were overboard.

When I left the room I told the proctor that either I'm REALLY stupid or I'm pretty darn good. She laughed. I had 75 questions when it shut off.

All you can do is wait.

I am a senior nursing student and I dont want to give you guys false hope. But I can tell you that this semester 4 students who I spoke with who passed the NCLEX said for them they got a ton of Sata questions and the test shut off at 75. It became increasingly difficult which is why they believed they got those style questions. 2 others I knew failed after 200+ questions and they stated they didnt have alot of the Sata questions....

I am not sure what that all means but thought I would throw it out there...

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Traci -- were the SATA questions on material that you knew or were they really off-the-wall type. Did you use a strategy when ansewring SATA?

SATA are a type of question and some get lots and some get ew and still pass. Very hard to predict. Good luck

I did feel like I knew the material, but traditionally I do not do well on SATA's my strategy was start with the ones I knew for sure and rule out the ones I knew were incorrect. The rest I tried to find similarities or opposites with the ones I thought were right. Hope that makes sense. And I hope it was a good strategy.

I am sure you did well. I hate SATA questions and I hope the ones I get on the NCLEX are those questions that do not count. Each exam has 15 questions that do not count toward your score and I hope every SATA I get fall within that category. :)

But I bet you did well!

Good LucK:yeah:!

Traci! I know how you feel bec. I also shut down at 75 items and had 2 SATA's.But unfortunately, I didnt make it.Im sayin this base on my experience. Nobody can confirm if u passed or failed until the results are in your mailbox. Hang in there! Keep us posted.:typing

Hope the SATA's pay off. As I was studying, I read in several study books that to successfully do the SATA's you play like they are true or false questions, then choose the ones that apply to your question. As I have done this when I study, it seems to be working. It might help someone else, and of course, hope you never have to face SATA's again.
