I live reside in Jersey and I was reading the threads about the Pearson trick. Mostly the comments said that if you are blocked from moving forward to the cc statement by the alert that says "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam, another registration cannot be made at this time." Then chances are you passed. Of course my experience is slightly different. I also received that message, however the alert did not prompt until I got to the cc page and clicked the submit button. So you can see my confusion, if anyone has had a similar experience please let me know. 48 hours of emotional ups and downs is making me nauseous.

That's how the trick works now. You have to put in your cc number and hit submit. Chances are that you passed. Consider yourself lucky that you have quick results available to you. I'm in California. I'm not as lucky.:)

The "new" PVT is very different than the old one was. You have to put in your credit card info and go through all the steps to purchase another attempt at the NCLEX. Here's the difference between the old version and the new version... the new version queries the results to determine if you've got a "pass" result and if that happens, it intercepts/stops payment. If your result at that time indicates "fail" then it will proceed with payment. A pass also will show the same text as before on the next page you land on as "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled..."
Fail (and pass) will take you to that same page, but there will not be the text and you'll see a payment confirmation page.
To prevent you from paying for one or more attempts at the NCLEX, I suggest you wait for about 24 hours before attempting this, to allow your exam to have been scored twice. You should also be 100% prepared and committed to the idea of taking another exam because if you fail, you'll have paid for another attempt at it. If you're not prepared to pay the $200, wait the 48 hours and pay for the Quick Results, if your state participates in that program.

Thank you for the responses. I had the worse sleep last night and was plaqued with thoughts of failing the NCLEX. So with this new information it gives me a glimmer of hope that just maybe I did pass. I'll keep my fingers crossed and have positive thoughts.

Im on the same boat as you! I had a heart attack yesterday when I got the cc screen and I cried for ever. I decided to go ahead and pay for it and was extremely surprised to get the good pop up after entering my cc and pressing submit. I was so confused I had to come to this site for confirmation that there was an update! Im no longer crying, I feel better. But ill still pay for quick results bcuz this new stuff freaked me out. The thought that I failed after only 75 questions in 80 minutes drove me to drink! Im confident that all is well and if that "good pop up" is accurate.

If you can please keep us updated, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm from California and our state doesn't participate in quick results. I took my exam on 9/4/14 and I have not heard anything from my boards. I'm really hoping and praying that this trick is accurate.
The PVT does work. I passed! Good luck to all and God bless.
