I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a study session for those of us taking a & p 1 in the fall semester. We could possible help each other study for exams by quizzing each other, and other lessons throughout the semester if we had time. Who knows, it could make a big difference in our grades by coaching each other along. This suggestion may sound far-fetched, and it may not even be possible. It was just a thought I had.

this is a page my instructor made for us last year (year 1) for a&p, it goes witht he text we used..and i found it helpful..click on the chapter links at the bottom of the page.. it will give you a bunch of options.. test yourself is good...gives you a quiz about the topics covered.. if you click on the "chapter outline" it will give you the summary of the chapter and important points, which will be useful i think no matter what you are using... you can download these files and save them as word (ie microsoft word..you general word file) or pfd file wich requires acrobat reader from adobe..

you can download that program here if you need it.. i like the pfd files personally...

these were great tools for me. also if you book comes with a study guide or a cd to use with exercises use it!!! it is a great way to test yourself and go over things that may not be covered as concicely, or in a manner that you an understand in the book...

I would like to offer to help answer anatomy questions.

I've completed both of my anatomy classes, but helping other students keeps me sharp(if you don't use it, you lose it).

My anatomy instructor said that I knew it as well as she did:chuckle I just love Anatomy. I think the structure and function of the human organism is incredible!:eek:

Anyhoo, your best source of information is your instructor, but if they are not available and you need a clarification or an answer to a bothersome quandry feel free to PM, email, or post a query to me and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

Sometimes all you need is another point of view to make a concept crystal clear.

No question is unanswerable........................unless it isn't asked.;)

okay I wonder what the best way to do this is. We can exchange email addresses? Then if we have questions we can just email? We can just post it here using a heading for the post,so everyone in our group knows it an A&P question? Just some thoughts, does anyone else have any ideas?

If you go to a person's profile here at the board it will have a place to email them.

If you start a thread here in the student section for the first semester, everybody that wants to keep up with it(you will all go through most of the same stuff) can just post to it and be notified automaticaly by email when someone posts a question or makes a statement.

When someone has trouble they can just post "where is the Hepatopancreatic ampulla?"

You can all check back to see the answer or post one. Describing its location in anatomical jargon will help you all quite a bit.

Anyone giving nasty, condescending comments should be asked to go post somewhere else. It's not a forum for students that are a "legend in thier own mind". It should be a place among friends.

BTW: You don't need to know the Hepatopancreatic ampulla until APII in the 2nd half, if at all.

This is just FYI: it's where your Common bile duct(from the liver) and your Pancreatic duct(isn't that one obviouse) meet to empty into the Duodenum(just past your stomach in the digestive system)

I would love to join and I will try to keep up... But my problem is that my school does it a totally different way... I will only take Anatomy wich is probably anatomy I and II for you guys...

But I'll try... Next semester I will take physiology...
