Specializes in Transplant/Surgical ICU.

Words cannot explain how I feel right now. Knowing that today is a weekend I did not think the California nursing board would be updated, but I figured it would not hurt to just check, so I did. I checked my IP validity first, and it said it was still active. I was glad cause it was active, because it showed I did not fail, but that meant I had to wait longer for my result. Out of boredom I checked the permanent license section, and their was my name!!! I have a license number!!:yeah:

I tested on the 8th, and I have been checking that site ever since. I had 75 questions and it took me more than 2 hours. Oh, thank God, I passed. I started getting really scared yesterday when I figured out why i had failed 2 out of 3 math questions I had, I also had more than 15 SATA's and I could not undersatdn how I could ever get them all right... Anyway, all that does not matter anymore. I passed!! I am an RN! Thank you to all the members of this site, to those that have supported and encouraged me through this journey. I remember being a pre-nursing student lurking this site for advice. And now look at me :nurse:. God is good!

Oh tonight is :rckn:, Oh yeah, all the way baby...

wohooo congrats :yeah:

Go celebrate :beer:

:hpygrp::ancong!::hpygrp:

I too found out I passed yesterday (luckily Connecticut has Quick Results). Now I sit here and keep going to my State's BON checking for my name and license number...knowing full well it won't be there because they only update on business days. I can't even find ones that were added yesterday because the "system" has to be backed up on the next business day to see the day before's added licenses. GRRRRR.

Oh well, its fun knowing that soon (probably Monday morning) my name and license number will be there. I'm hoping its before I leave for my orientation for my new job! I was hired as a GPN but when I called to tell them I indeed passed the test and would be there Monday, the DON said so glad you called now, I was just going to make the new ID tags and yours would have said GPN. Now it will have your proper title of LPN! Yah!

Doesn't it feel good to know that you know have those much deserved and worked hard for initials of RN (and in my case LPN)??!!:bowingpur
