According to the ENA website, you can earn 3 credits towards the EC BSN for passing the CEN. From here: http://www.ena.org/bcen/FAQs/CEN-FAQ050907.asp:
Can I earn college credit by completing my CEN
Yes, you can earn three nursing elective credits toward your Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College. For more information go to http://www.nursing.excelsior.edu
Thought that may be of interest to some of you! :)

The same goes for a number of specialty certifications. CCRN also to nake one. They figure that you had to do a ton of study to pass the "nationally/Internationaly" recognized exam.

Very cool!
Will Chamberlain take them for you, Lunah?
I don't think they will, but I have to take a minimum of 32 credits with Chamberlain to graduate, so there's no "room" for three more credits anyway!

Although I believe that Graceland has stopped, having my CEN "clepped" me out of a 3 hour critical care class with clinical hours! Yeee haa! I was happy. I was soooo not looking forward to taking a critical care class (I am an ICU nurse).
