Hi guys! So I completed the HESI A2 exam and thought I would give some insight on how it was. If you're like me, you are freaking out!!!! But take a breath, it's not that bad.
i made an 80 overall grade, it's not the best, but not the worst eithier, I'm planning on retaking it but I might not because mt
plan is doing the LVN then transition into RN because the ADN program in my area is crazy. As long as I eventually get my RN, I'll be ok!
Ok the exam.
a&p- I made a 80
its not as bad as I thought, this is the section I got anxiety over, I would recommend the eleviser HESI, McGraw-Hill practice exams and the HESI POCKET PREP APP! That app seriously saved me, and there were even questions on from the app on the exam. It was 9.99.
dont study into too much details know the basics, know the major Arterys and nerves and you should be fine.
math- I made a 74...
ugh. I seriously could have done SOOOOO much better than that I was in SHOCK bc al of my answers were there so be sure and REDUCE, bc they will have both answers and on the few that you have the full the blank, make sure and round up, I'm sure that's where I messed up.
Know upir fractions, ratios, proportions, metric system, it's really not hard, I just got over confident and it kicked me in the behind
iF you follow the eleviser you will be fine. It's exactly like that.
Reading- I made a 90
i honestly didn't study for this section. At all so I have no advice on what to study. But it's not hard, the mess with the wording so be careful.
Vocab- I made a 82
by the time this section came around, I was dooooone with this exam, I was tired, my back hurt, the screen was hurting my eye. Ugh. I didn't study for the this sections eithier, but after the exam I looked in the eleviser and all the words were in there. They aren't hard, some are common sense, some are medical terms, some are
***** Words. But overall if I wasn't so tired and hungry it would have been easier.
grammer- I made a 72
ugh my arch nemesis!!!!!!! I was so worried about this sectio. I hated studying for it, and I studied all the wrong things, I studied predicates, and pronouns, and preposition, none of that was there. I was all "which word in the sentence is used incorrectly" and to be honest, all the sentences seemed fine.
if I decide to redo it, im doing grammer first so I can catch little mistakes bc that 72 isn't acceptable, English is my first language so that's just annoying. But again, being seated for 4 hours, I already so done.
The test really isn't hard, they allow breaks, I would take advantage of them.
good luck to everyone. I'll try and answer questions about if you have any.
