Hi there,
I am a nursing student and was seeking some opinions regarding a few nursing topics. I was curious if anyone had some advice on web based degrees vs. those obtained by attending campus classes. They are becoming extremely popular with different bridge programs for nursing. Do you think these degrees are appropriate for this kind of practice (nursing)?
Another topic I seem to see a lot of controversy over is vaccinations... There are so many opinions, views, and evidence regarding an individuals rights and the safety of others. I am curious how others feel about this. I read an article that considered this; if a parent chooses not to have their child vaccinated and that child infects another individual then that parent would be liable for any injury/illness that occurs as a consequence. Any insight??
Thanks!

So what are your thoughts? Not here to do your with for you. A quick search will give you voluminous results on your queries.
As an aside, you may have difficulty obtaining responses after your maternity unit adoption ethics thread...
I'm really not looking for anyone to do my work for me... My assignment is to pose a question and get others responses... As for the last post, I was completely misunderstood, tried to fix it and it simply made it worse. I have searched the topics I referred to and found them interesting, that's why I was looking for anothers input. I have considered online schools for furthering my education and have researched it online. It may be beneficial to me with a family at home, but from past experience, I think classroom study has been more help to me... And as far as vaccines, I'm so torn on that subject myself!

Not looking to get punked again by you. I suggest we should all ignore threads started by this poster.
PS anyone "torn" on the topic of vaccination is a scientific troglodyte and has no business anywhere near health care professions.

I just read the adoption thread. It does not appear that you were misunderstood…it does appear like you flat out lied about why you were asking. On this question…your OP makes it sound like you are asking out of curiosity, just because you want to know. Now you say it is an assignment. Can you see why some people are skeptical of what is going on?
As for the issue of the liability of parents who don't have their kids vaccinated--this is really a question for a lawyer.

You should say it's an assignment in your first post

After you straight out LIED in your first post, no one is going to help you now. You tanked your reputation around here.

You're curious because it's an assignment and/or, you're curious anyway and/or, your curiousity was triggered by the assignment? I see that it could be a blend of thoughts. I'm still resistant to answering you, due to that other thread.
For answers to how people here feel about your topics, just search the site. There are oodles of threads on the topics.

Yawn. Homework. Just say so please.
Oh man!!! I didn't recognize the name from that thread!!! I am, however not a total idiot and read THIS post as an assignment right away. I wish OP's school would catch what she's doing here...
Did you use the words from the get go "hey guys, this was posed to me as assignement question, here are my thoughts, does anyone care to share theirs with me?" But no, you had a whole back story cooked up about how you witnessed the birth of a child that would not be going home with it's birth mother. You were dishonest, BLATANTLY so, and got caught. I have to commend you on the size of your gonads though, not many would bounce right back with another series of ethical homework questions. Which, I can't help but notice, you didn't preface you post with the words "hey guys, this topic came up as an assignment in one of my nursing classes. Here are my thoughts, does anyone care to share theirs?" Is there an echo in here?
