I am an experienced nurse who just moved from South Dakota to Texas. I have read and reviewed all the information about endorsing to Texas and understand that I have to take a jurisprudence exam. I am putting off endorsing because, frankly, taking an exam makes me nervous. I have downloaded the forms from the board's website that are supposed to be studied for the exam. There are so many of them! There are about 5 NPA guides with revisions every year or so. It is overwhelming!
Is there anyone out there who has taken this exam that can tell me what exactly to study, what to focus on, and how hard this test is?
Thanks!

It really isn't necessary to study for this exam because it is written at a sixth grade level. You can easily select the correct answers by utilizing common sense and good judgment. I took it a few months ago and did not have to study for it. Also, it is an "open book" type of exam where you can look up the answers as you go.

omg, it it super easy. I downloaded their recommended "study guide", but it was useless. Even without it, I was able to easily pass the test by using common sense and referencing a few questions on the BON website

Welcome to Texas. I moved to Houston from SD in 1981. FYI- I don't miss the snow at all!:)
