Hello everyone,
I'm planning to take my test in July and I am doing Suzanne first plan. Is anyone out there thinking taking their test in July please come and help and share ideas..
Thanks
Congrats to all of you.
I am taking mine July 30. I am so scared. My scores on Kaplan qbank will not go higher than a 58 so I am extremely nervous. I do not know if I should give up on the qbank and focus more on the Saunders book. Another thing added to my stress is my mom took hers about 7 years ago passed with !!!70 questions!!! so it is a lot of pressure.
I will try to study harder I wish the rest of you good luck.
I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooo-hoooo!I took mine on July 11th @ 1p. Found out today @ 2:12, online.!
I did Kaplan (classrm & qbank).
QT1- 53%
QT2- 55%
QT3-54%
QT4- 51%
QT5- 57%
QT6- 58%
QT- 55%
Qbank- 61% (I did all of the questions).
This is how I studied- I did all of the questions & read all of the rationales. If I didn't understand a rationale or dz I would look that up. Throughout all the Qs I took notes of what I learned from the rationales. The night before nclex, I reviewed lab values (which i only had 1 question on).
I got about 15 SATAs, 5-6 calcs, a TON of meds I knew NOTHING about, a lot of priority &1 EKG (which I never even looked over!). No pictures or putting things in order.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congratulations!!! all your hardwork paid off!
how did you prepare for the calculations? i'm taking it this tuesday and i only know the basics like computing for the dosage, IV calculations...
its official as of yesterday i passed my boards. in just over 75 questins. i cant beleive i can finally breathe a sigh of relief!!! wow hard work does pay off!!! everyone has been saying how proud they are of me especially my parents, husband, and boys!! it feels so surreal!! my advice is to study kaplan, and learningext.com by pearson was very helpful, i found both to me harder than the actual nclex test however!! god bless all of you who are waiting to test and will be retesting you can do! remember the basics## abcs, maslow, and priority are key!!! never give up keep moving forward and never look back. the icing on the cake for me was the day before my test i rec'd a job offer at my hospital of 1st choice (trauma 1) on the cardiac unit. wish me well, and the same to all of you. have faith!!!:prdnrs::onbch:
