NCLEX EXAM on July 10th at 8am!!

Today was not a very successful day for me. I did not do my 100 questions although I honestly tried to be "productive". I test on July 29 and have tried to break up my questions under content topics. My topic for review today should have been leadership/management. So I plan on reviewing that and community health tomorrow. I feel bomarded with trying to find an apartment and buying a car since I will be relocating to the mainland right after taking boards. Any suggestions or advice? God bless us all!

dont be so hard on yourself...things come up...you have plenty of time to review...also it is good to do the questions by the content area...but try to do comprehrensive exams whenever you can so you can get into "the mode" of the how the real thing will be......how i scheduled my study time i just scheduled it so i will be finished studying everything about a week before the nclex....i did that to have a week of cushion just in case of emergency or days that i couldnt study i.e sick days. i did get a stomach virus about 3 weeks ago for about 2 days btw so i am going to be rolling over into my last week with content.....so my advice----get your study plan so you have that one week before that your not really focusing on any particular content so you can catch up on any area you are not comfortable or not studied because of those emergencies and do as many practice questions as you can. hope this helps.:D

test on july 21st

not taking a review course.

i'm using saunders, suzanne's plan, and considered getting the qbank from kaplan, but money is pretty tight, and i can't use it since i'm using suzanne's plan.

studying is my job...i pretty much do it from 9-3, sucks...but i have to do what i have to do.

i consistently score in the 70's using saunders, and i got a 98% chance of passing on the exit ati exam. anyone else take the exit ati...if so, what'd ya get?

I'm scheduled for 7/2/08 :(

Our school gives a comprehensive HESI final for your last semester and if you make a 900 or above then it projects you to pass on first shot.. I made a 911.. not very much over the margin.. I average about 65 - 70% consistently on Saunders, HURST, and other NCLEX review style tests (set up about 75 questions at a time).

Hopefully I'll get through... I also took the classroom Live HURST review... anyone have any other suggestions/tips?

Ah, at my school we take the comprehensive HESI last semester, but we have to pass it with a 900 in order to get our diploma. If you don't, you won't get your diploma until you do. I got 976, so I hope that is a good indication of how July 8th will go :(

I graduated May 17th, test on July 8th. I took a review course with Anderson Test Prep Specialists & I'm using their coursebook & questions on my PDA's NCLEX program to study. If I exhaust those questions, I'll move back to my Saunders book. I'm trying to study every day as much as I can, but need to work as much as possible at my tech job before I leave, because I don't have a confirmed RN position yet & money is tight.

July 1, 2008 (eeekkkkk!!!!)

Virtual ATI- btw do NOT recommend it

Stopped using virtual ATI, now using Saunders online review that I bought, Prentice Hall nclex reviews and rationales book an CD, my notes

been studying for about a month- a few hours a day the first 2 weeks and now up to about 8 hours a day everyday in the last 2 weeks

really wish i could have studied more but i had to go and get married and move all within a few days time ( i'm a new army wife).

I'm already the last person in my class to take it though b/c of those circumstances so I figured I'd go ahead and bite the bullet sooner than later

I've been scoring in the 70s on Prentice Hall

75s on Saunders

ATI predictor I took in school gave me 98% chance of passing on the first try but I take that with a grain of salt of course.

My new husband keeps telling me to remember an army acronym-KISS- keep it simple stupid (lovingly of course:). Basically, don't read into the question and just answer what is there. Good luck to all of us...

Everything regarding her first tip is in the sticky called 2008 version of Suzanne's plan, otherwise we ask that no one discusses her program in the forums or among themselves. It is protected by copyright

Welcome to the site and good luck

Futuresalemnurse08, We had to pass the exit HESI with a 900 to graduate as well. I only scored a 911 which is a predictor that I could do well on the NCLEX. I would feel much better if I had your score! We also had a woman from HESI come give us a live 4 day NCLEX review which was great. She gave us some great pointers. Hopefully for you and I the HESI is a good predictor of passing! ;)

I test July 15th

I took a Kaplan review course

I am using Kaplan's Question Trainers and Q-Banks( My scores have been mainly in the 50s so I'm a little worried:/

I'm trying to answer at least 100 Qs every other day. I review the rationales for the Qs I that I got wrong, I also like to review the rationales for the Qs I got correct as well
