Hello everyone! I am considering taking 2 Johns Hopkins Prerequisites Spring 2020 (next semester). Specifically, microbiology and chemistry 1 both with lab included. Has anyone taken these classes and can please tell me how the exams are? Are they proctored/do you need a webcam? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi @lam1130, I haven't taken Chem but I did take a few other pre-req courses through JHUSON, including micro. I highly recommend them. 10 weeks flies by very quickly and you learn a lot in a short period of time. Across the three courses that I took, the exams were all online used the honor system (e.g. open book/notes, not proctored, but you're expected to be using your own course materials and not just googling answers). All exams/quizzes were timed but I felt that the time allotted was adequate. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi there. I just finished taking both of those classes online with JHUSON and they were super doable! The quizzes are reflective of the material. I agree with everything momo90 said and recommend using the interactive portion of the Connect homework while reading to do well in the class. You will do well if you put in a few hours of work each week.
