Johns Hopkins Masters Entry 2017 (MSN)

Hi All,

Figured I'd start a thread for applicants to the Johns Hopkins Masters Entry into Nursing Practice for entry in spring 2017 with July 1 deadline. Good luck all.

New to this thread. Congratulations to everyone accepted to JHU. I received my acceptance email today. Waiting to hear back from 2 more schools and the admissions packet for JHU before I make my final decision. It's hard to pass up but it's a really big price tag.

Anyone deciding between Hopkins and Emory? I like the fact that Emory you come out with the NP, but I am so torn!

I wonder if there are any current students out there who can speak to what the program is like on a day to day basis? I'd like to know more about after finishing MSN, but I think the first cohort graduates this spring so unfortunately it's hard to know the post graduation outcomes of the program.

I attended an admissions chat a couple of months ago and they said the fall cohort is 140 students.

I received my phone call today. 140 students broken up into 2 sections so 70-75 students per instructor with clinicals being 6-8 students per group. She also mentioned that there might be a virtual accepted students day later for those of us who cannot attend on March 31st.

@sonagi87 Yes, she mentioned a scholarship for the first year. I received my email yesterday. I am on the east coast so I did not get my phone call until today. I also received an email today from JHU financial aid about award notices being sent out starting tomorrow and all notices sent out by April.

I applied for financial aid and I didn't get an email that said this. Hopefully that doesn't mean something is wrong; on my SIS it says everything was recieved. Did anyone get a financial aid notice yet?

edit--ok now I see everything in SIS.
