Johns Hopkins BSN-DNP Fall 2021

Published

Hello!

I have applied to JHU for Acute Care DNP program. I have chosen the 4 year, online program... anyone on here is trying to get into that program as well?

I applied as well - hoping to hear back soon.  I was told they would be notifying applicants in March.  Good luck to you!

@KCookRN

Good luck to you too!

Keep me posted! Btw they are closing the application soon I received an e-mail about that. Fingers crossed we will get invited to an interview.

I actually interviewed in January and was told they would start to release decisions in March.  Hopefully you'll hear about an interview soon!

Oh wow! That’s amazing! Best of luck to you! Keep me posted! I hope I will be invited to an interview as well. NursingCAS verified my application today. Fingers crossed I will hear from JHU soon. Do you remember how long it took them to invite you for an interview after the verification?

I am wondering how many people applied to the program. I joined a chat with the admission the other day and they said that they accept 50% of applicants but interview around 75%. The class is usually 60 students.

Also they calculate my cumulative GPA and it’s 3.56. I hope it’s good enough...

That’s very helpful info, thank you. Keep me posted and I’ll let you know if I hear anything as well. I think I was called for an interview around 2 weeks after my application submission but I can’t be sure LOL.

Congrats! Fair warning - my interview was quite lengthy... nearly an hour and a half. I don't remember the exact questions but none of them were other than what you'd expect. Just have a good explanation for why DNP, why your specialty, and why JHU. You should know a bit about JHU's values - they did ask a bit about that and how I will fit into those. Basically just be able to explain why you're good for Hopkins and Hopkins is a good fit for you! Good luck!

Thank you very much!!!

I hope all is great with you!!

I had the interview today... I feel like I didn’t do well. I just talk about the same thing over and over again as it felt like all the questions were asking about the same thing.

I am wondering then will I get my rejection letter ?
