Jobs for prenursing student

Hello all! I am new to this forum but I felt it was the best place to obtain some sound advice. I am currently petitioning for a spot in a RN nursing program in the state of MD. This is a career change for me as I have been in a licensed insurance agent for the past 7 years or so. About a year and a half ago I decided to put my big girl pants on and take a leap of faith. So I decided to be brave and enrolled back into school to purse my dream of being a registered nurse. My question is because I have no nursing/ healthcare background are there any jobs in the nursing field I can apply for to help me gain experience. I am eager to transition out of my current field and dive into the healthcare realm but I am having a difficult time finding open positions without at least a year of prior experience. Any advise would help. I'm sure this is a familiar topic among individuals newly entering the healthcare field. Thanks :)
