Jobs while being a nursing student

by Jmonrose Jmonrose (New) New

Does anyone know any good paying jobs for nursing students?

When I was in school I worked in housekeeping at the hospital that I now work at as a nurse. The pay was pretty good and the hours were flexible. I started off as a summer student and continued to work during the school year. That job allowed me to become more familiar with the staff and the hospital which helped me get a position as a nurse.

If you're looking for a job that will get you nursing experience you could work as a camp nurse in the summer. Some of my classmates did that and they loved it!

Work in LTC, HH, PDN, AL, or hospice. I work 12hr night shifts. It's hard, but I have to pay a mortgage and feed my family.

I do 1 to 1 home Healthcare shifts overnight. It works for me because I am able to study or do what I want in my downtime. I routinely work full time 8 hour shifts. I

a lot of students work as waitresses on the weekends, a place like lowes would be good too I guess. but limit your days to two or three max.
