Has anybody who has passed the ncelx recently had a problem finding a job. I took the test about two weeks ago and I have put out several resumes. I have 6 years of LPN experience but that doesn't seem to count any suggestions would be great. I thought the golden ring was being a Rn but maybe not. Any help would be great.

Im having the same problem, or may be its too early to panic?? I have applied at 5 hospitals here in Miami, and nothing yet... Plus there's not that many positions available right now, and everybody wants experience:((
By the way, JMH is starting a versant program in October for new grads, if you are interested... Im hoping to get into that.

Have you tried having your resume looked over professionally? I had mine looked over, which I though was a pretty good one till a pro fixed it. Is moving an option? There's a shortage in Wisconsin I hear. Depends on how you feel about snow too I guess.:chuckle Hotlando, I wish you the best. Sometimes it just takes time. Lots of luck to ya.

that is crazy!! i can't believe that!! i live in a small town in arizona and my nursing school was at a community college. our little tiny hospital offered nurse externs positions after our 1st year. they paid us to work and gain and practice skills and guaranteed jobs once we passed the nclex. weird!!!

Depends on where you live! I had a job 2 weeks after graduation and right before I took the NCLEX.

You know, I've thought about asking a nurse or someone to look over my resume. It looks so lame. Think I'll do that ASAP....good luck to all of you looking for jobs!!!
