I have been accepted into nursing program in St. Louis for Sp 09. I have been looking for job for quite some time. My problem is in past i haven't stayed at jobs for very long for various reasons, self-esteem, etc. Now things are much better. I have even lost wt, 15 plus lbs and I am feeling much better about myself. There is a job fair (with healthcare/hospitals going to be in attendance) next week. My experience with job fairs is that the recruiter just tells you to apply online and that is it. I never hear from them again. How can I make myself stand out, etc? I am a MA by profession and also have unit secretary background as well as have a BS in Community Health.
Thanks all.

First off, congratulations on getting into the nursing program! As for the job fair, I've never been to one so I don't know how much help this will be, but I would say to dress nicely and fix up your resume if you think that might help, but most of all just be confident. If you feel confident in yourself then they will pick up on that and take more notice. You've lost alot of weight (congratulations on that too!) and you have more self-esteem so now is your time to show it off! Good luck!
