Hi, guys. thanks for having me here. I am an RN and I have applied to the Adult NP grad school here, in NC, locally. From what I hear, many NPs have hard time to find jobs after graduation. I do not have money to pay for my school, so I am hoping to get scholarships and so on.. Yet, the question is how difficult to get job as an adult NP now days, specifically, in North Carolina ( if anyone knows). National-wide? I do not want to suffer through the school in my late 40s and did not have job after words + not to mention the loan to re-pay, if I got to... Anyway, I would like to hear you all opinons. Thanks, God Bless..

Outside of the triangle area shouldn't be too hard. But inside the triangle they have Duke and UNC graduating enmass every May so that's tough and a buyers market. Then there is UNCG not too far away and ECU as well. UNCW might be better. I just really don't like the whole NCBME AND the NCBON approval to practice along with physician oversight. Good luck.

I am in NC (specifically in the Raleigh-Durham) area. I just passed boards Dec 10th. I have had several job offers in the field I am going into, now I am just awaiting my DEA license. Where specifically are you looking to work? Hospital? Doctors office/Clinic? Home health/hospice??
