Hello. I recently submitted my resume to the unit I really wanted to work at. 2weeks later I received an email from the place I applied saying they attempted to call me and if I’m still interested reply to their email with my availability to talk about the position. So I went ahead and replied with the date I’m available. It has been one day but no reply. I know it has been just a day but since it’s a position I really want I keep checking my email and worry so much I already lost opportunity without having an interview..
Do you think it’s too early for me to worry and wait few days and give them follow up email? Or should I go ahead and send follow up email now. Thank you in advance.

Make sure you're also checking your spam folder- you'd be surprised how much stuff ends up there that shouldn't!

It's only been a day, I think you can likely wait a few days. If you haven't heard anything by Friday, you might consider contacting the recruiter.

Date? As in a single date? This might be part of the problem. If you not currently employed, conducting a job search should be your full time job with full time hours. If you are working full time, and are just looking to move to another unit or specialty, then obviously you can't dedicate that much time. However, if you only submitted one date, the manager might not be able to fit you into her or his schedule. My apologies if I misunderstand your situation.

This. And myself personally, I have an email address that I only use for job searches.

The next time you contact the recruiter, verify that they have your correct contact information.
Best wishes.
