Tip for IVT.. if the deadline for letters is May 31.. plan on getting your letter June 1st. My letter wasn't sent out till the DEAD LAST DAY. The wait was awful. I start on the 27th though, I made it!! Good luck :)

Good luck! I start the program next Tuesday. It's such an exciting/torturous wait. We actually didn't get our letters until a week later than the deadline - this was for a couple of the campuses. I'm not sure if it was a fluke or what, but don't be too disappointed if you don't receive a letter right away. I wish you the best. Those are both reputable campuses, so it would be great if you got into either program.

I also applied at those two campuses! I am playing the waiting game too-can't wait to find out... Good luck to you!
From what I have read online, it sounds like Ivy Tech likes to take their time with the acceptance/denial letters.

I applied the both the LPN and the transition right at the deadline. It took me a few weeks. If its a big envelope then thats good, if its a regular sized envelope thats not good.

Plan on applying this coming week at Bloomington. I want to retake the TEAS V a second time. Just curious what the average TEAS scores for acceptance into the program?

I'm starting the program in Anderson on Tuesday. My Teas was a 78, which I think is a pretty good score. I know of some in their 80's but most were in the 70's. We got our letters on time but I know of people that didn't. Can't believe it's time to start already.
Thanks for your comment Heathermaizey! It is so stressful sometimes reading these post and everyone is saying they're getting TEAS V scores of 85+. When I spoke with the Dean of nursing at Bloomington last month she told me she has never had an applicant with a TEAS score above 85. So either her memory is slipping or some people are really trying to scare others from trying. I got a 75 on my first attempt. I have an A in Anatomy 101, 102 (which apparently doesn't matter anymore), and Psychology 101, Then I also have a B in English Comp (hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the butt!).

I am applying to Bloomington this week also! I got all A's in the pre-req's and an 80 on the TEAS. I was considering taking the TEAS over again but I decided against it. Maybe we should create a new thread for Ivy Tech Spring 2014 applicants like others before us...?
RainMay,
Thank you for being honest about your scores. It is a relief to hear that you spoke with the Dean, (although I suspected people were lying about their 90+ scores on the TEAS).
My scores are VERY similar to yours-Hopefully we both get in!!
Good Luck

I just dropped my application off for the program as well. I don't know if I can wait for my letter! I already have anxiety. I applied with an A in 101, a A in English, a B in Psych and a 79 on the teas. I'm dreading that darn B though!
