Ivy Tech nursing uniforms

Published

Does anyone know approximately how much the Ivy Tech nursing uniforms cost? Are they available in plus sizes? I can't find any info about this online at all. I hope to start the nursing program in the fall if I make it in and want to plan for my expenses. Thanks!

it really depends on which campus you are attending. i attend anderson and we had a contract with a store in muncie. we got 2 pants, 2 tops, and nursing kit for $100.00. actually all you have to get a the pants and tops and they are regular scrubs. that would probably run $30.00 per set.

hope this helps!!!

good luck

The Indianapolis campus uses the Uniform House and they can give you cost information.

According to the information I received, uniforms should cost approximately $80 a pair. (top/bottom) That is for the Richmond campus. :)

Bloomington campus uses Nanco. I think they are located in northern Indiana someplace.

I spent around $200 for 2 complete uniforms, which is pants/smock/3-quarter sleeve top.

For under 200.00 at the scrub room in south bend, I purchased 3 tops, 3 pants, a jacket and a pair of shoes. The uniform tops and jacket were engraved with the IT logo and that was included in the cost.

Are the South Bend scrubs tan? Are the scrubs the same for both the LPN and RN classes? What kind of shoes do they require? Can they be slip on/clogs, or do they need to be closed in the back?

I did pretty well on the TEAS Saturday, so I finally feel like I can safely start planning for school this Fall!

The tops are Ivy Green, maybe called hunter green. The pants are white. White shoes with no decor on them and definitely not clogs!

Not sure if it is this color for both LPN and ASN or not.

Oh no! White scrub pants are going to be difficult to keep white with our hard water out here. Even with a softener, everything white looks dingy lol. So we can't wear those cute Nursemate clogs? Too bad, I really like those! :wink2:

I believe each campus is different. I went to Columbus for my LPN and they require you buy your uniform through their contract with Nanco. I spent about 150 on mine (pants, top, jacket), I graduated there in December 2006.

I am now in the transistion program in Logansport, no required place to buy from, but the bookstore sold green scrubs, 15.00 for pants and I think the same for tops and lab coats.

The letter that I rec'd with my letter today stated that Bloomington also uses Norco for their uniforms.

Black pants, white tops and a tunic.

You need 2 full uniforms.....................which Lori was right....about 150.00. You will need to pay for them the day they are ordered. They also can bill your financial aid for them as well!

So, now I'm wondering, if you're in a two year (RN) program, will your uniform change the second year? Or, is one color worn for both years?
