I've been researching my butt off on Excelsior's LPN to RN program and have decided to go for it. My question is for nurses who have first attended Ivy Tech and then Excelsior. What credits from Ivy Tech did Excelsior accept? The school I attended for my LPN their accredidation is different and Excelsior will not accept their credits:o, so I've been researching and I believe that it would be cheaper for me to take what I can at Ivy Tech and then take the rest at Excelsior. I'm all about saving myself money! Anyone have any suggestions on what is best? I already know not to "enroll with Excelsior until I have to to avoid the yearly fee. Anyone got any other ideas? I'm welcoming all suggestions:up:

CLEP saves you money as well:

But it's a good idea to check with EC first regarding which CLEPs they'll accept. As long as you've earned college credit for your classes at Ivy Tech, they should transfer; what usually doesn't transfer are vo-tech classes. Good luck!

I too am an Ivy Tech LPN and Excelsior only took my Gen eds. The only thing I had to take from excelsior other than the NC exams was info lit. But it is doable. I am just waiting for my ATT to take boards. Best of Luck!

I'm not an Ivy Tech LPN, wish I was so my LPN credits would tansfer. I'm considering re-taking my gen eds at Ivy Tech so they will transfer to Excelsior and I can save a few bucks!
