Hey guys! My name is Kadijah. I'm creating this forum to see if there are anyone applying for the Ivy Tech nursing programs the fall of 2017. I figured we should find a place and communicate with each other and basically become a each others support system.
Right now in my pre-reqs I have two As (English and psychology) and a B (AP1). I'm worried about my grades but I've been told it's all about the TEAS scores. I haven't taken my TEAS yet but I am taking it in January. I'm applying for the Richmond campus.
What scores usually get in the program? I'm actually freaking out about scores! I want to be a nurse (RN) so bad and I'll be crushed if I don't get in.
What about you guys? What scores did you have to get in at Ivy Tech nursing program? What are your pre-req grades? Have you taken the ATI TEAS 6 yet?
Lets chat and keep each other in the loop of things :)

Hi I am planning to apply for this fall. I haven't taken my TEAS yet and I am finishing all my gen ed courses including APHY 102, Microbiology, Advanced Human Physiology etc. I finished A&P 102 this past fall I earned a high B in the class almost had the A. I'm enrolled in Microbiology this semester. I have been studying like crazy for the TEAS I am using every resource possible as I am aiming for a 90% or higher on it. I'm taking Advanced Physiology in the summer. I know it will be tough but I want all my courses done before entering the nursing program if I get in. I wish everyone the best as I see many have all As in their classes. Congrats to all who made it in and who are almost there.

I am apply for the transition program that begins summer 2017 (SB campus). I have 2 A and 1 B in A&P. I'm retaking my teas next Tuesday and aiming for 80% or higher í ½í¸Š. I begin Microbiology and Advanced human physiology next week. Those are the only classes I have left to complete. Good luck to you all!

Congrats on already being an LPN and CNA. That's extrodinary. I commend you for that. You should have no problem getting into the transition program especially because you are both a CNA and LPN and your grades are good. It might not be as competitive for the transition as it is the LPN and ASN traditional track. I know I won't make the ASN this fall my pre req grades are not all As. I have a B in Psy B in Eng and C in A&P1 so even if I score very high on the teas its not likely. I have tried to speak with the advisors to retake at least A&P since its weighted the most. My A&P was a transfer from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. I would be so happy just to be accepted into the LPN program then I can bridge over to the ASN. Lol I love nursing so much I am always on this forum trying to get information from pre nursing all the way through taking the NCLEX. Anyway good luck to you, I am sure you will get in. Great job making it this far!

I am applying for the Fall 2017. I am applying at every Ivy Tech. Kokomo is my first choice! I took my tease and received a 69.3%. My advisor then added the points to be 70.5. My prerequisites I earned a 35/60. My total points adding up to be 106/160. I was wondering if you guys think I have a chance of getting in? I have heard yeses. I am a nervous though. Thank You. -Lola
I am set to take my teas tommorrow . I am applying to Fort Wayne and I may apply to others that are within distance. I was thinking Southbend, Logansport, and Kokomo campuses. If I don't get in for fall I plan to apply for next spring. I am very concerned because I have 30/60 pre req points so even if I do well on the teas my score will not be high enough. If anything I will retake 1 or 2 classes to get an A. Mainly A&P since I have a C in that. I will know more tomorrow once I finish the test and get my test results. If anything I will also apply to the LPN program in the spring and bridge over to the RN. I am finishing Microbiology now and still need Advanced Physiology. I have a B in Microbiology now. I know if I were to retake A&P I would have 50/60 points and my teas points. Good luck to everyone applying.

I have scheduled my TEAS for Friday, April 7. I am studying right now like crazy, trying to fill in the gaps I can see in my knowledge. I see a couple of others applying to Muncie ~ me, too.
We we have an ongoing discussion here for any who are interested:

Hi, nice to hear from you all. I am currently at the Sellersburg campus, but I am applying to Indianapolis, because I'm getting married and my fiancé is in med school. I just took the TEAS April 7, and got a 90.7. I currently have all A's too. I have been told, and all my classmates know that we HAVE TO GET ALL A's. My advisor also told me that a TEAS score of 75-80 would just put someone in the competitive range. Does anyone have questions about how you get in and how the scoring works? I can answer questions if you're having trouble finding info. If you're applying for the fall 2017, you should know everything now since apps are due in May!
