I'm a recent graduate an i'm looking to get IV certified. The two courses i was looking at were the Venipuncture 2 day course at George Brown and IV Therapy and Phlebotomy 1 day workshop at HCPT College.
Has anyone taken either of these and how would you recommend them? Also, if you took another IV course, please let me know how you liked it!
Thanks all!

I would post this on the Canadian forum. Unless you feel you need the extra instruction most employers will certify you in the workplace. My first employer provided inservices and then you had to have three witnessesed starts.
Oh i didnt know it wasnt, this site is very confusing lol. I will try and find the canadian forum, thanks!

I personally don't recommend IV courses because the employer trains you in this during orientation,
In addition, I find the best way to become proficient in this skill is practicing on real people.

Before my hospital turns you lose to start IV's, you have to have in house education and three witnessed starts with either a CNE or a staff nurse. IV therapy? As in administering IV meds? Again hospital based education, pump education included.
