in response to the review below:
re:[color=#1c7dff]caregiver position in galloway (galloway)
this position involves caring for a disabled woman. all details were revealed before individual accepted this position. she is only posting this review because she quit via phone with no notice to care for her new granddaughter, and then had the nerve to ask for pay for the day she quit (and did not work). it is unfortunate that this individual is lashing out in this way and has left this family in a bind to find adequate care for a great lady. this individual was never told she would be paid for her days off (who is?) and also was paid for days that she left early, or could not work due to her own medical circumstance. we were very good to this individual, and she left us in a huge bind. all is well, we will find another person!
this position is very misleading! it will not only be sitting with her disabled mother. it is doing laundry, running the [color=#1c7dff]sweeper, cleaning the kitchen every day and doing dishes. you also will be going to west jefferson every day for her and you will be using your own car and gas to do so and we know what gas prices are now. it also is cleaning up [color=#1c7dff]bowel movements several times a day that are almost diarrhea!! also when they tell you that you will be paid for your days off that is a lie because when you quit they deduct those days from your pay! liars liars liars!!!!!!!!
the woman posting the second paragraph sounds like an idiot and someone i would not want to care for my family member!

I think people need to be very careful when they are hiring people off of Craig's List.

Hmm I'd be concerned for the patient with several episodes of Diarrhea C-Diff perhaps or an impaction.

This is an example of the entitled attitude. Of course you are going to clean and do bowel care. I just don't know sometimes when I read this stuff ... there was definatley a communication breakdown because no one gets paid for days off. As far as hiring from craigslist I do it all the time but you need to take precautions. General background checks can be done for around $12 and with the social you can find out all kinds of things (facebook, free criminal check, etc...).
You give me your birthdate, social, an address and I'll be able to find out all kinds of things. Top that off with a job reference and it's done. Please don't forget about good old human instinct when interviewing a potential employee. Unfortunate about this scenario, I've seen it before and we must remember there are 3 sides to every story.

If I got paid for the days I stay home I would be wealthy most of the time.

If you read the hired woman's review, it sounds like she was hired to be a sitter and not a home health nurse or aide. If that's the case, I wouldn't be too thrilled about cleaning up diarrhea either. I'm guessing the hiring family may have left that part out.
Also, I may just be dumb ER nurse, but I would not be keeping a person's home and doing chores if I was expected to care for someone. I'm not a maid.

Im confused! Is mickey a relative of this GREAT LADY then why doesnt he do the grunt work. Afterall she is a "GREAT LADY" he should be honored to do it. Was there a job description written out? was it agreed upon and signed by both parties! or were details sprung upon the health worker at the last minute and they were expected to do it because this great lady has a sense of entitlement.
