I have been an active RN for 38 years in various nursing specialties. Most of my experience has been in surgery and the last 15 years in an OB/GYN outpatient clinical setting. I have been approached by a new HH agency just starting up to be Director of Nursing. They agency will only be dealing with rehab from hip and knee replacement. I have done some research and reading regarding the position and I am concerned with the lack of experience regarding the paperwork. I have tried to get "hands on experience" with other HH agencies, but no one wants to help you because you are competition. Has anyone had this same experience or have any suggestions?

If you do some research on this site you can find some threads where people have posted information sources. There are also stickies at the top of the forum that have good info in them. NRSKaren posts good resources often, so you could probably search her posts directly to find info. I find it rather disconcerting that you can't get help from colleagues. After all, who do they expect to help them out when they need it?
