Is it possible for europeans to migrate yet?

Published

Hello, I am a spanish nurse, and as most of you know jobs are really deteriorating in salary, benefits, job offers, and so on here in Spain (Madrid) and many other countries in europe, for this reason I am thinking to make a little big change.

I took and passed NCLEX last year (applied for 1st license in Florida BON), not yet pass TOEFL.

I was wondering if it could be possible eventhough retrogression to go to FLA, ask for an student visa to learn english (passed TOEFL) and then apply for a job at any facility

I have 2 little kids and husband, so maybe it will be a huge family move

I have also been thinking in Canada, but the information about this country is harder to find, and to understand at least to me.

Please I will be so glad to get advice

thankyou

You would need a work visa to work in Florida.

For Canada ou would need to meet the requirements of the college of nurses in the province that you wanted to work in, pass the the CRNE and get a work visa or immigrate.

But isn´t it possible to ask for a position with the SSN that the student visa(F1) provided me, because I understand that that is just what i need to get a Registered nurse number from the Florida BON, I wonder if any hospital or facility would consider to hire me (petition or any other easier procedure) if Im already right there and not in my native country where a petition or sponsorship would take 5 or 6 years. If Imthere i could startworking as soon as the lawyer send my papers to ask for a work visa or residency

If that was possible everyone would do it instead of waiting for a Green Card.

You would have to meet H1B requirements, employer prove they can not employ locally otherwiseno alternative but return to own country whilst waiting for immigrant visa? Having petition in for GC makes no difference you can not jump the queue by being in the US

Also F1 will have work restrictions on it and your spouse will not be able to work. You have to prove you can support yourself whilst on F1 visa and no guarantee you can stay once F1 finished. Plus not sure if learning English will meet full time requirements for student visa

Thank you very much Silverdragon, really clarifying
