Will the Pharmacy Tech course help nursing students get a leg up how to calculate medication dosage ? ; If not what other ways can, it be helpful and is it worth taking ?.

No. Pharmacy techs don't give meds - they assist with dispensing.
It would be a waste of time and effort in my opinion.

I agree with meanmaryjean. I used to teach pharmacy technician classes and taking the whole course would be a waste of time. You can learn dosage calculations very easily if you go to the pre-nursing section and look at my post :Master your drug calculations BEFORE you get to nursing school. There is a pdf file in the comments called dosage calculations, which will teach you how to do the calculations without any formulas.

I'm definitely not gonna waste time on this class.
Thank you so much for this I really want to have the dosage calculations down before nursing school .
