Is there a nursing life outside of the hospital?

We are moving from Long Island to Charlotte, NC, in about 8 or 9 months and I know I can get a staff job at any hospital (I am a Neonatal ICU nurse for the last 10 years) but am thinking this may be a good time to make a BIG change and find something outside those hospital walls. Reaclimatting with 3 small children would make a home based job ideal! Any suggestions or war stories would be appreciated!

There is definitely a nursing life outside the hospital, but only 'family' nursing within the home unless you do some legal case reviews at home. Since you have 3 small children of unknown age to me, I would think you would be busy enough.....but still, check in with the local public health department or the local schools for a position in nursing that would be more M-F around school hour times......Good Luck!
