As nurses we see, hear, smell, and think of things the average person has never come into contact with. On a daily basis too! It never ceases to amaze me what an interesting job nursing is. I am never bored with what i'm doing, because an adventure could be right around the corner. To me, nursing is not just a job. Nursing is an adventure. :heartbeat :heartbeat

When I start talking about open abdominal surgery with my friends who are not in the medical profession, they are slack jawed. It isn't everyday that you get to see AND repair the inside of a human! It is very interesting!

What I enjoy is that there is always something new to learn. Just when you think you've got the hang of something everything changes.
I also enjoy the people who I work with, the OR attracts some interesting personalities!

I completely agree. I love the learning opportunities that nursing has afforded me.

I've got friends who are attorneys, police, Marines, and teachers, and they all have interesting stories. I guess it just depends on what each individual's definition of 'interesting' is.
Amongst my friends, though, we have toyed with the idea of writing a book titled, "We are not making this **** up!"
