I am currently working as a private duty pediatric nurse and I am not liking this at all. The pay is very low. I am an RN and make less than an LPN and I also think less than a CNA. I am not getting any experience with skills and at most times I feel just like a babysitter. I have applied to just about every RN position advertised in Spokane and Newport. I am told everytime I do not qualify for lack of experience.
I received a pm from a poster (thank you by the way :) ) who told me Sacred Heart in Spokane hired new grads. I called them today and was told they do not hire new grads at their Spokane location I am not even sure if I even qualify as a new grad anymore since I graduated last May.
Thanks in advaced to anyone with information.

Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, just 4o mile east of Spokane, offers new grad interships. I am not sure if they would take a nurse, who is essentially a new grad, but has worked as an RN since graduation.
There are nursing homes that hire new grads, and also, Holy Family Hospital, a Providence facility, just hired nurses, who worked in a nursing home since graduation. I would try Holy Family Hospital and see what they say.
