Is Michigan a saturated market?

I have sat here this morning reading previous postings and absorbing a lot of info and advice...How can I find out if SE Michigan is a saturated marked for LNC's?

It sounds as though many of you are struggling with establishment as a LNC. And as a newly divorced mother of two, I am frightened of plunging financially into this area (that I believe in my heart I will be good at...) if it is very difficult to establish one's self. I am surprised by those who have completed the Milazzo course and aren't finding success.

Is there a registry that Lawyers turn to when they need assistance with a case?

Has anyone had difficulty being paid for the work that they have completed?

i doubt the whole part of se michigan is "saturated". i do not know what cities are included in se michigan and cannot give you an answer based with stats.

yes, many many rns who are certified as lnc (not just with the milazzo program) and not actively working. just like there are many many rns who are not actively working as rn. some go into this career choice with the idea that it will be easy and nothing is further from the truth.

in this career, the lnc must know how to successfully market him/herself. it is vital. and, as i have said again and again on these threads, the typical rn does not know how to do this. rns are not typically business-minded. therefore, it takes a keen desire to develop this technique and apply it in the real world. dedication, persistence and belief in oneself.

to be successful, the lnc must put together a complete and impressive marketing packet, mail introductory letters to attorneys/clients, follow-up with telephone calls, create that "hook" to get that client. and, follow-up again and again and again. not many go into this career with contacts already lined up ready and waiting.

yes, there are resources online for the attorney to contact the lnc. my very first case was done exactly this way. the attorney found my name online as ob-gyn np and lnc.

and, as far as collecting after i mail billing invoice.......no problems. i've never had a client not pay.
