Hi everyone! I have a quick question for all the NPs out there. I was accepted into Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing Program with a $40,000 scholarship (divided between both years) and UMass Graduate School of Nursing direct entry DNP program with a full tuition scholarship. I am torn between which program to go to. I want to be an NP at the end of the day. Going to UMASS is a no brainer because I would be debt free but training at Johns Hopkins would be a dream. It's the number one Nursing program for a reason. The only thing is I would have to reapply for the DNP portion. Ideally I would go to Johns Hopkins but I feel like I walking away from a full tuition scholarship might be a terrible decision especially since I have little to no savings and the economy is terrifying right now. I guess my question is what would y'all do if you were in my shoes? I'm really torn. Does it matter where you go to school or does experience matter more?

I would probably stick with UMass - a DNP and no debt. Names aren't everything, and I'm sure UMass is a fine school. Plenty of people are getting online degrees, and in the end - they are NPs. A lot of the decision is money based. And really, I'd rather be in Mass. than Baltimore. ?

If you can see my other posts I put a really long one reviewing the program.

You got a full scholarship? How?? I was told there are no scholarships for the DNP program. I'd love to hear more!
