Is it hard to get the reregistration--back into practice after 5 years

Can anyone help me to go through my case and analyze the possibility of getting reregistration? -- passed NCLEX in 2002, MS graduated in 2003, worked till 2004, and entered doctoral program in 2004 till now. I would like to go back into practice after 5 years because of some reasons. Before I apply for reregistration, anyone can tell me the chance that I would get the registration or still need refresher course at the end?----------thanks million!!!!!

I'm not understanding your situation. Are you saying you let your RN license lapse?

What state are you in? Some have grace periods for lapsed renewals.

If you were willing to invest all that time and money in higher education, I'm wondering why you didn't also do what it takes to keep your license active.
