Is it a good idea to take chemistry 2 and a&p1 this summer? Its a 7 week class

Hi everyone,

I really wanted to get both of them out of the way but I also don't want to overdue anything. Idk if it's a good idea to take the 2 classes. I'm 50/50 about it.

I'm taking Chem II this summer over 5 weeks, but I wouldn't recommend taking A&P in that short time period alongside it. It's a lot of material and memorization.

Just my two cents :)

I dont recommend taking ANY science classes during the summer. You need time to grasp all of the material.

I'm taking microbiology in an 8 week summer session starting May 16th. I'm finishing up A&P 1 for this spring term and have an A so im taking A&P II in the second summer session which will start July the 11th and its 5 weeks long. It all depends on how you study and what YOU know you're capable of. However, I wouldn't take them BOTH at the SAME time. Just my opinion.

And let me Add...I take A&P 1, while enrolled in Eng II, Nutrition, Dev psych, and PE (to be core complete). I do wish I would have taken A&P with "easier" classes, however, I still managed to get an A, as well as get an A in ALL my other classes too, while working full time and being married with a 2yr old son.

What if I decided to take only anatomy? Would that be a good idea?

honestly, it all depends on how good the professor is. If you already heard good reviews about the professor, I don't see any problem with it. But at the same time. it's important that you learn A&P otherwise it'll come back to bite you in the buttoucks later.

Like others have said, it depends on the professor but also how you learn and what else you have going on in life, such as a job, family, etc. I'm taking A&P II and Precalc this summer on top of working. But I also retain information/memorize easily and absorb a lot just by being in class. (And I've already taken calculus so precalc is more of a refresher for me since it's been a few years.) So again, it really just depends on you and if you believe you can handle it!
