Is finding employment as a new grad hard?

I have heard that there is a shortage of nursing jobs and that more and more new grads are having issues finding employment? What have your experiences been?

It kind of depends on what area of the country you live in. Some area's are harder to find work in than others.

It is very very difficult. Most are *lucky* to find employment within 6 months.

That's the bottom line. Well, that and your willingness to travel to a new area if the need arises.

Even experienced nurses have trouble finding work in many areas. The nursing market mirrors that of the general economy, work is not that plentiful.

OMG!!!!! there a storm of no jobs out there can't you hear? New Grads are the scum of the earth right now...HR people run away from them like the plague.
