Is college math a lot harder then intermediate math?

You could ask 20 people that question and get 20 different answers. It's a very subjective opinion. If you find you have difficulty, you can always take advantage of online resources, tutoring, and the instructor's office hours.

I just recently bought a college math prep book guide - the material looks the same as intermediate algebra.. there are a few other math topics but the majority is intermediate algebra .. don't be worried about math... I advice you to purchase a college algebra math guide book, start studying it before you register for college algebra... and it will be a breeze... btw I am not a genius in math and have to put a lot of time to understand it- I did well in my intermediate algebra online course- and I did a lot of prep before starting the course.. received an A for consistency studying and will be doing the same for the college algebra course...

I found it easier believe it or not. The biggest difference is you can use a graphing calculator, and in fact there are some sections where you can't work the problems without it. I actually enjoyed math for the first time. I had a great professor and didn't even need the book.
Ok thanks a lot for the advice.

What calculator you are permitted to use may vary. My college did not allow a graphing calculator in college algebra. My experience was that the course continued on from intermediate quite nicely. It constantly built upon itself so as long as you dont let yourself get behind you should do great!
Take a look at this:

free virtual college algebra lab, you don't need to get a guide after all

I'm taking college math online so I'm able to use any calculator. Lol.

College math? Which one? Algebra, stats, calc??? There a difference. But yes, there was a huge difference between college algebra and intermediate algebra. Intermediate was pretty much polynomial and a little graphing and college was mainly graphing with some trig thrown in.
