Is CNA classes through Maricopa first come first serve?

Published

Hello again- i am just curious if the CNA classes through Mesa, Gateway etc.. are first come first serve for enrollment? I heard someone say there is a 2-year wait list? What's that about or am I just confused? Also- I just moved to the area and I am wondering where is the best place to get your immunizations? Is there any clinics that do them for low cost? Thanks for your help.

Hi Tapple!

Hey, I don't know about GCC or MCC (you might want to see the other post on CNA classes, they talk about it in there), but at GCC I did not wait at all. They did say it was hard to get in and contratulations, but I don't know how much the lady that registered me knew about the program. It is my understanding that it is all lottery. You get a better chance if you turn in your application during "application week", after that they date stamp it and I think you get put to the back of the applicants. Other than that, you have to complete the requirements and the application in its entirety and then they accept you. You have one week to register.

I got my immunizations at Banner Thunderbird Occupational Health Clinic. They were not cheap, but convenient, so I don't know much about low cost. I wanted to get mine after work hours and that is about all I cared about.:)
