Is there a clearinghouse or forum where LTC facilities can share survey issues?

It was mentioned to me the other day, that a LTC Administrator was frustrated because they were cited for an safety issue that they had not anticipated. The Administrator further said that the State Survey team stated that another facility had an excellent solution for that very problem. SO ~ My question is - Is there a place where Administrators/Educators in LTC can go to learn what others are doing successfully - to learn from the mistakes of others. THANKS for any direction! I did do a preliminary search and could find nothing.

Click the specialty tab at the top, click on nursing specialties, scroll to the LTC forum (actually labelled as geriatric forum i believe) and then check out the sub-forum for DON/ADON. Lots of useful input from others.

THe DON/ADON forum is good for a lot of different topics but, when it comes to surveys they might differ by state do to their particular regs. Do you have a group of homes in your area that you may contact and start sharing ideas with?
