Is Chem really important in nursing school/beyond?

Published

Hi there,

I'm in the middle of a really tough basic chem class which is a prereq for the BSN programs I was looking at. It's my last class before I'm eligible so I'm really stressing out about it. I don't seem to be "getting" the material despite a lot of studying. My question is, if I don't understand this class am I going to suck at nursing school? All my other prereqs are great and I feel I'm so much more than this class, but I feel so discouraged. If I can't understand this, what are the chances I'm not going to do well in nursing school? What I'm hoping is that this is just a bump in the road that I need to get over so I can study something I really love!

Any advice?
