No Way! There is no such thing as "waiting list" at the Essex County College, for Nursing Program. All the "stories" going around, of how difficult it is to get in, are totally untrue. You need to make sure all your pre-reqs are completed ( with a grade A, B). If you get a C, it won't kill you, you just have to bounce it back up with a different subject- of pre-reqs! Once you have that completed, you need to take a NET test. Basic Math, English. Simple task-but can get tricky. Sometimes the most stupid/easy answers are so obvious, that we tend to pick more difficult answer, and that is wrong! Also, ECC is not there to help much to get in to the program. They will make you walk up and down, and if you'll ask- EVERYBODY is giving you the theory THEY have. NO WAITING TIME. If your GPA is ok, meaning 3.4 or higher, you have good NET score, there won't be any issues. OF course, once you're in the program, is a total different game. It's hard, but who ever said it was going to be easy? There is so much reading and understanding (NO MEMORIZATION in here), your head will be spinning so fast, you won't have any time for anything else but this! It's all worth it. After each semester, you'll feel more wiser in your daily routines, and the knowledge you gain is amazing! GO for it! Do your own thing, keep away from others. Some work well with groups, but some ( like myslef) work better alone! Whatever works for YOU! It's all about You and how you want to approach it. Great program, great professors - NO EASY...NO NO NO!
